Antique Delivery Australia-Wide

Moonee Ponds Antiques can assist with delivery of antique furniture, vintage pieces and collectables throughout Melbourne and to destinations across Australia. Depending on the item and destination, delivery may be completed by our team where available or by an experienced independent carrier.

Because antique pieces vary considerably in size, weight, fragility and value, delivery is quoted individually rather than using one standard freight charge.

Requesting a Delivery Quote

To request an accurate quote, please provide:

• The product name or website link.
• The delivery suburb and postcode.
• Whether the property is a house, apartment, commercial premises or storage facility.
• Details of stairs, lifts, narrow doors, hallways, difficult parking or other access restrictions.
• Whether ground-floor delivery, placement inside the property or additional assistance is required.
• Any preferred delivery dates or access times.

Providing complete access information helps us request a suitable service and reduces the risk of additional charges or an unsuccessful delivery.

Delivery Charges and Payment

The delivery charge and total amount payable will be confirmed before final payment. We do not currently take card payment through Shopify checkout. Once availability and delivery arrangements are confirmed, payment can be arranged by card over the phone, bank transfer, cash or agreed lay-by. See our Payment Options.

Delivery Services

Available services vary according to the item, destination and carrier. A quote may be for one-person, two-person, kerbside, ground-floor or placement delivery. We will explain the service included in the quote where that information is available.

If a quoted service requires suitable assistance at the destination, this will be discussed before booking. Customers should not attempt to lift or move an item where it would be unsafe to do so.

Delivery dates and timeframes are estimates and can be affected by carrier schedules, distance, weather, access and other circumstances outside our control. We will provide the available timing information when arrangements are confirmed.

Regional and Interstate Delivery

We regularly assist customers in metropolitan and regional areas, including destinations in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia, Tasmania and the Australian Capital Territory. Carrier availability and delivery frequency vary by route.

Showroom Collection

Collection can be arranged from our showroom at 49 Hawker Street, Airport West, Victoria. Please confirm the collection date and time before travelling so we can have the item ready and ensure suitable access.

Items must be paid for in full before collection unless another arrangement has been confirmed in writing. Customers are responsible for bringing a suitable vehicle, restraints, blankets and sufficient assistance to load and transport the item safely. Please ask us if you need dimensions or loading information.

Using Your Own Carrier

You may arrange your own carrier or collection service. Please provide the carrier’s details and proposed collection time in advance. Once the carrier collects the item, the transport agreement is generally between you and the carrier, subject to rights and responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Transit Cover and Insurance

Insurance or transit cover is not automatically included unless it is expressly confirmed as part of the delivery arrangement. If cover is important to you, ask us before accepting the quote so the carrier’s terms and available options can be checked.

When Your Item Arrives

Please inspect the item as soon as reasonably practical after delivery. If you notice apparent transit damage:

• Tell the driver where possible.
• Take clear photographs of the item, packaging and damage.
• Keep any packaging or delivery documentation.
• Contact us promptly with the order details and photographs.

We will provide reasonable assistance with the carrier or any applicable transit claim. This information does not limit rights available under the Australian Consumer Law.
