About the Artist
Born in the United Kingdom in 1942, Helene Seymour arrived in Melbourne with her family in 1948. She studied life drawing and fashion drawing at the Caulfield Institute of Technology in the 1960s and later returned to full-time painting. Her awards include the Victorian Artists Society Artist of the Year Award in 1997, and her work is represented in collections in Australia and overseas.
